Nutrition and your Pet
Although, most pets do consume a balance diet according to AAFCO standards in the common off the shelf pet foods, These foods provide the basics, but there is little consideration for the nutrient necsesities of the different breeds or the lifestyles of pets. Just as a marathon runner who leads an active lifestyle would require a different nutritional diet from the average normally active person. Your pets require different nutritional diets depending on many factors such as age, health and lifestyle . Most pet owners don't have the time or it is difficult to obtain the ingredients needed to prepare foods that meet those requirements. The only way to meet the special requirements is through use of supplements. Supplements have been used in the human market for many years, to pick up the slack where our diets leave off and yet it's just now that pet owners and breeders alike are realizing and starting to utilize supplements for their pets, such as Glucosamine (for joint health), Enzymes (for proper digestion) Omega fatty acids (for coat and skin).
