West Nile Virus vaccine Recombitek - 10x1ds Merial    Recombitek Equine West Nile Virus vaccine contains lyophilized recombinant canarypox vectored WNV vaccine, plus a sterile liquid diluent. A canarypox vector has been modified using recombinant technology to express the desired antigens capable of stimulating a protective response to WNV. After inoculation, the vector does not multiply in the horse, but does express the protective proteins, including an immuna status against WNV. Safety and immunogenicity of this vaccine have been demonstrated by vaccination and natural challenge (bites of Aedes albopictus mosquitoes known to be infected with WNV) of susceptible horses. Indications: Recombitek Equine WNV vaccine is recommended for the vaccination of healthy horses as an aid in the prevention of viremia due to West Nile Virus infection.
